Knowhere: History Shrouded in Mystery

You may swap any character die in your Used Pile or Field Zone for an unpurchased character die costing 1 more (return the swapped die to its card). Character dice swapped in the Field Zone stay on the same level.

1. Does the unpurchased character die have to cost exactly 1 more than the die you want to swap it with?
2. Can you swap one of your character dice for an opponent's character die?

(1) Yes. The unpurchased character die must cost exactly 1 more.
(2) No. You may not swap one of your character dice for an opponent's character die.

Also, you cannot swap out a die that would be returned to its card at the end of the turn for any other die. This is a game level rule that will be reflected in future rulebooks. This means that you could not use the ability of The Collector: Taneleer Tivan to field a die and then use Knowhere: History Shrouded in Mystery to swap that die out for an unpurchased die.
