Dear HeroClix players,

The HeroClix Watch List is a process in which we identify figures and/or other game elements that we feel may have a negative impact on the game of HeroClix. Being on the "Watch List" in of itself is not an errata or change to these figures/game elements, but rather an indication that these figures/game elements are under review and scrutiny and action may be taken on the figure/game element if we feel that it would be in the best interest for a healthy HeroClix game play environment. The actions that may be taken can range anywhere on the spectrum of no changes at all (if we determine after review that we see no negative impact on game play from the figure/game element in question) to banning of the figure/game element (if we determine after review that there is no viable fix that would reduce or eliminate the negative game impact of the figure/game element in question).

This Watch List thread will house all errata to figures/game elements that appeared on a Watch List in one location for players to easily find the official changes to these figures/game elements (if any) - any changes to these figures/game elements will also be posted in the Errata & Clarifications PDFs for the set in which that figure/game element was released.

Below is a list of the official errata to the figures/game elements that appeared on the HeroClix Watch List. The official errata made to these figures/game elements are also located in the Errata & Clarifications PDFs for the set in which that figure/game element was released.

HeroClix Watch List Q4 2017 Official Changes

JW #053b Jakeem Thunder
[E]YOU KNOW WHAT I’M THINKING, JOHNNY?: At the beginning of your turn, choose 2 standard powers, but only one of those powers may be a defense power, Hypersonic Speed, Outwit, Perplex, Pulse Wave, or Shape Change. Jakeem Thunder can use the chosen powers until your next turn.


JW #060 The Joker
[E]HOOHOOHOOHAAHAAHAA: At the beginning of your turn, roll a d6 and halve the result. When you do, either heal or damage The Joker that many clicks and he can heal past his starting line. The Joker can’t be chosen for Mastermind.


TMT #058 Uni-Mind
[E]FORGED IN BLUE FLAME: During force construction, you may include a number of different characters in your sideline with the Eternal keyword, adding 5 points to Uni-Mind’s point cost for each. If it starts at 150 points, you may include up to 3. If it starts at 275 points, you may include up to 5. If it starts at 370 points, you may include any number. The included characters must be used at their highest point value and be turned to their starting click. At the beginning of your turn, you may choose one standard power a chosen character can use. Uni-Mind can use that power until it chooses again. When Uni-Mind would be KO’d, instead replace it with all the chosen characters on their last non-KO clicks, placing them within 4 squares of it. Those characters can’t be healed this game. Protected: Pulse Wave.

[E]CHANNEL VAST RESERVES OF COSMIC ENERGY: FREE: Until your next turn, Uni-Mind can’t use the Power Cosmic team ability, but can use Perplex and Willpower. When it uses Perplex targeting a character with the Eternals keyword, it may modify a combat value by +2 or -2 instead. This turn, it may use Perplex an additional time for every two characters with the Eternal keyword in your Sideline that it can choose powers from.

Rules Change
Some effects refer to a ‘class’ of powers (Speed, Attack, Defense, & Damage). When an effect refers to that type of power, it refers to both the power displayed in the applicable slot of the combat dial and any standard powers of that type as listed on the PAC.

For Example: An effect that says a character “can’t use defense powers” means that character can’t use whatever power (standard or special) is displayed in the defense slot of their combat dial and it also can’t use any standard defense powers as listed on the PAC (such as Toughness or Combat Reflexes) from any other means (such as from a trait or equipment).
