Welcome to the start of the 2017-2018 WizKids Road to Worlds!

WizKids is pleased to announce that this year’s Road to Worlds starts at GenCon 50 in Indianapolis, Indiana!

Prepare to do battle in the three HeroClix Regional Championships, three Dice Masters Regional Championships, and many other side events including Star Trek Attack Wing Quick Plays! Find out more in the event section.

Play amazing games, win rare prizes, purchase convention exclusives, and compete to be crowned a Regional Champion at one of the biggest WizKids gaming events of the year!

Players must have a GenCon 50 badge to play in WizKids events and purchase WizKids products.

All sales will be conducted out of Booth 317 located in the Exhibit Hall starting at 1:00 P.M. each day.

All tournaments will be conducted in the Lucas Oil Stadium.

  • For every eight players entered into the event (rounded up), one player earns a 2017-2018 HeroClix National Championship Qualification. If a player is already qualified, their qualification passes down to the next highest ranked player who does not already have a qualification.

HEROCLIX JOKER’S WILD SCENARIO 

Description: Build a Modern Age 400 point team w/no tactics. In addition to the normal rules, each game will utilize a custom deck of cards.

HEROCLIX LIL’ CLIX SCENARIO

Description:

Build 5 different 100-point Modern Age teams that share none of the same game elements. Each team may not include any non-character game elements except standard objects and all starting force game elements (not including Sideline) must be able to begin the game on the map.

Players play as many individual games as they can against their opponent during each tournament round. Players get two actions in their action total for each game. During each tournament round, players may not play the same team again until they have played all of their teams once. Whichever player wins the most games between the two players wins the tournament round.

HEROCLIX POWER OUTAGE SCENARIO 

Description: Build a 500-point Modern Age team. During each tournament round of this event, random powers will be disabled & can’t be used for that tournament round.  Any game text that allows you to choose a power is disabled during every tournament round of this event.

HEROCLIX RUMBLE SCENARIO

Description: Build a Modern Age team comprised of 4 characters with each character between 75- 125 points with the total for the 4 characters being 400 points or under.

At the beginning of the game, each player chooses one of their characters to start the game in the ring.  All of their other characters start the game outside and adjacent to the ring. Characters outside the ring can’t affect other characters with the exception of the Dirty Tricks rule below.  At the beginning of your turn, if there isn’t a character in the ring, place one of your characters in the ring.

Tag-Team:  Give a character in the ring a power action when they are adjacent to or occupying your starting area.  Switch the square of the character in the ring with one of your characters outside of the ring.

Dirty Tricks:  Give one of your characters outside the ring a power action and choose a standard power on their dial.  During your next attack, your character in the ring can use that power.  If you miss the attack while using that power, deal 1 unavoidable damage to your character in the ring.

Maps will be provided but players can bring their ring from the Muhammad Ali vs. Superman Con LE set to play on instead.

Description: Build a 400-point Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles team using only standard objects and game elements from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles sets.

Description: Build 3 300-point Modern Age named keyword theme teams with one team each for DC, Marvel, and TMNT.  At the beginning of each tournament round, players will reveal at the same time which themed team they are playing.  Players can’t use the same theme team again until they have used all of their theme teams at least once.

Description: Build a 400-point Modern Age team with no figure over 100 points.  You may not include any non-character game elements except standard objects on your force and all starting force game elements you use (not including Sideline) must be able to begin the game on the map.  At the beginning of each tournament round, players will write down the name of a figure on the opponent’s team and keep it hidden.  When that figure is KO’d during the tournament round, reveal the name and add that figure to your force on its starting click adjacent to one of your characters
