Star Trek: Attack Wing Obstacles Scenario

Each player must bring a set of six starter set Objective Tokens/Obstacles.

Starting with the player that has initiative, players place one Obstacle face up on the map at a time, alternating between players, until each player has placed three Obstacles. Obstacles may not be within range 1-2 of any edge of the map. Additionally, obstacles may not be within range 1 any starting area or any other Obstacle.

Obstacles act as described on page 22 and 23 of the Star Trek: Attack Wing Rules of Play with additional effects as outlined below.

Space Station

SPACE STATION (3) – Once per turn, each player may have one of his or her ships within range 1 of this Obstacle forego its attack to make a 3 dice attack against any opposing ship within range 1-2 of this Obstacle.

Asteroid Field

ASTEROID FIELD (1) – When an attack is obstructed by this Obstacle, the defender rolls two additional defense dice instead of one.

Debris

DEBRIS (1) – When a ship moves into or through this obstacle, it sustains 1 normal damage in addition to normal Obstacle damage.

Derelict Ship

DERELICT SHIP (1) – Once per turn, during the Planning Phase, each player may remove an Auxiliary Power Token from one of his or her ships that is within range 1 of this obstacle.

Example:

  • Player 1 places a Space Station
  • Player 2 places an Asteroid Field
  • Player 1 places a Space Station
  • Player 2 places Debris
  • Player 1 places a Space Station
  • Player 2 places a Space Station
