Doubled A Effects

(The relevant portion of) Iceman: Mr Ice Guy reads “Energize - Double target character die's printed A until the end of turn.”

Cable: High Stakes reads “When Cable attacks, double the printed A of all your other character dice.”

Do both Iceman and Cable work the same way, just double the value at different times? Or does Iceman set up a persistent effect where the printed A is doubled until the end of turn?

When a die is spun-up to a higher level after having it’s A doubled by either Iceman or Cable, what happens? Does it have its new printed A doubled, does it lose the entire effect, does the A stay the same as the previously doubled value, or something else?

Iceman has an Applied ability. The words “until end of turn” denote when the modifier will end, not the application of a Persistent effect.

The die will assume the double printed attack value of the face it is now showing.
