Hellfire Gala and Poison Ivy - Power over Men

Hellfire Gala reads
Roll 2 dice from your bag. Each player fields three Sidekick dice from their Used Pile. If there are 16 or more dice in the Field Zone, win the game.


Poison Ivy - Power over Men reads
Energize - Field a 0A and 2D Plant Token.

When Poison Ivy would be KO'd, you may instead KO a Plant Token and heal all damage from Poison Ivy.



If I play Hellfire Gala and draw and roll a Poison Ivy - Power over Men die and roll the double energy face would Energize trigger straight away or after Hellfire Gala has fully resolved? Would the new plant token count towards the 16 dice required for the win on the Hellfire Gala die that potentially created it?

Once you’ve initiated a non-Persistent ability it must be fully resolved before you resolve another ability.

In your example, Hellfire Gala’s ability is in the queue. Any ability initiated from the rolling of 2 dice, in this case Energize from Poison Ivy, will enter the queue behind Hellfire Gala. The Energize ability cannot be resolved until Hellfire Gala’s ability is resolved.

After each player has rolled 2 dice and fielded 3 Sidekick dice, the Hellfire Gala ability checks the game state if the win condition (wincon) was achieved: if so, the game ends; if not, the ability is resolved, and play continues.

Poison Ivy’s Energize ability can now be resolved and even though its resolution puts 16 or more dice in the Field Zone, the wincon portion of Hellfire Gala’s ability will not trigger because it has already been resolved.
