Groot: Growing Pains

Groot: Growing Pains - When Groot is KO'd and another of your character dice is KO'd in the same turn by a character, Action die, or Global Ability controlled by an opponent, return Groot and all other character dice in your Prep Area to the Field Zone at level 2.

I know this is an old card, but during a recent Guardians of the Galaxy draft event, a player used this card, and we were divided on how to play the ability. We wondered, is the intent to return Groot and all other character dice in your Prep Area when:

A) The controlling player’s Groot and another character die are KO’d in the same turn, regardless of when in that turn the dice are KO’d (e.g. Groot is KO’d in the Main Step and another character die is KO’d in the Attack Step) - OR -

B) The controlling player’s Groot and another character die are KO’d by the same effect (e.g. Groot and another character die multiblock an attacker that has Deadly, or the Lockjaw: Fiercely Loyal ability that can KO a level 1 Groot and another character die with 2D or less).

We appreciate the running of draft events with older sets.

The intent of Groot’s ability is option B. Clearer text would be “When Groot and another of your character dice are KO’d at the same time by a ...”
