cerebro dice is a character die?

cerebro card states "it is still in the field" and when it is on a card I would like to know if I field storm wind ride or attack with storm goddess of the plains, Can I reroll the cerebro die from the card

Just because a die is in the field does not make it a character die. Equipment and Continuous dice are other examples of action dice being in the field. Cerebro is not a character die.
