I just wanted to know how the wording on Owl Bear effects different characters. Because it says adventurers get -2a and -2d, I wanted to know how this would effect charaters from other sets or if its just a DND only thing.

Right now, it only effects characters from the D&D release, because that is the only place with adventurers [characters with the Experience ability]. If such a character would appear in another set (let's call her Amanda the Adventurer) Owlbear would reduce her stats as well.
