Human Paladin Global ability (Lantern Ring, Nova)

Is it possible for Human Paladin (Lesser Emerald Enclave) to reduce damage from Lantern Ring (Limited only by Imagination)? And if so, does it require multiple activations for each character dice, or one activation for 1 character (including all dices for such character)?

Also, will Human Paladin reduce all damage taken from Nova's ability in 1 turn to 1, or damage per each activation (for example, if I use Global Ability from Magic Missile BAC to shoot my own Nova twice, will it deal 2x1 damage, after Paladin's activation, or only 1 damage)?

You would need to pay for Human Paladin's Global ability once each time you wanted the reduction.

In the case of Lantern Ring, once for each attacker.

In the case of Nova, once for every 2 damage you wanted to be reduced to 1.
