Temporal Vortex

When defending, during the compare results step, you may discard this card and spend 3 of your Drone Tokens to force the attacking ship to redo its attack.  All of the dice (attack and defence) are rolled again.  All cards and tokens that were used in the original attack remain used and cannot be used in the second attack.  This upgrade may only be purchased for a Borg ship.

How exactly does the Borg Tech upgrade Temporal Vortex work?

Temporal Vortex forces the attacking player to replay the attack starting with the Roll Attack Dice step of the Combat Phase. The attack is made with the same weapon, but if any bonus dice, rerolling of dice, or conversation of dice were used in the first attempt they may only be used in the second attempt if they may be used again in that round and any cards or tokens discarded, disabled, or marked with time tokens remain discarded, disabled, or marked with a time token.
