The Weapon Verteron Pulse Trap States:

Setup: Place a Minefield Token anywhere that is not within Range 1 of any edge of the play area.

Is the Minefield Token placed before or after players choose a side on which to setup?

The minefield token is placed during Step 4 of set up after the play area is established and any obstacles, planets, etc. have been placed on the play area.

Ships are placed thereafter during Step 5.
