General - Matching Maneuver Dials to Ships

Can a player choose which maneuver dial they want to use if a ship has more than one option that matches both the ship's faction and class?

As far as I can tell most of the maneuver dials with matching faction and class are exactly the same, including the Romulan Bird-of-Prey with different sculpts. The Federation's Constitution Class is the only exception I'm currently aware of. The image of the Constitution Class on the dials is the same, although the dial with the larger image came with the expansion pack of the smaller model. The images on the ships' cards don't always match the images on the maneuver reference card either, so there's no real way for player to make sure the right dial is being used other than just knowing which dial goes with which ship.

No, the maneuver dial must match the ship that it came with and can only be used with that ship. The (Original) Constitution Class Starship cannot switch dials with the (Refit) Constitution Class Starship.
