I'm curious how the Biogenic Charge from the Assimilation Target Prime, which takes both a Borg and a Weapon slot interacts with discount effects. Would the weapon-discount fleet captain reduce its cost? I'm assuming it cannot be deployed to the sideboard, correct? Thanks!

The Biogenic Charge is a "?" upgrade and would not benefit from any discounts targeting weapons or Borg upgrades. It cannot be deployed to the sideboard since there is no slot for "?" Upgrades.

No, when a card is the "?" type of upgrade it will expain it's own set of rules.

In the case of Biogenic Charge, the card remains a ? upgrade, but takes both a [weapon} and [borg] upgrade slot.

In the case of Vic Fontaine, The Doctor, & Emergency Medical Hologram you deploy the upgrade as either a [crew] or a [tech] upgrade and they remain that type of upgrade throughout the game.
