Borg Cube - Tournament Legal

Is the oversized borg cube tournament legal? Currently the FAQ states it is tournament legal because it has a model and a dial.

SPACE STATIONS & STATIONARY PLATFORMS - from the FAQ: 12-04-14 version
6. Space Stations and Oversized Base Ships are only tournament legal if they have both a maneuver dial and a model to be placed on the map.

But, the Oversized Cube costs at a minimum 80 points. Presently the cheapest ship costs 12 points and when fielding a ship from a Blind Booster it is impossible to use it under the current guidelines of a 3 ship minimum.

Yes, it is tournament legal when allowed by your local TO, but when playing in tournaments depending on the current build restrictions it may not be possible to field the Borg Cube.

How do you set up a borg cube in a tournament if the set up restriction limits you to 4 inches on a side?

The Borg Cube must be touching the edge of the map furthest from your opponent.
