If Salatrel's Captain Skill is modified by an Admiral and/or Fleet Captain, do the same modifiers apply after the Captain Skill Number is raised to 10? Or does she work like the promo Khan does?
- Salatrel's printed Captain Skill Number on the card is considered to be a 10, and further modifiers from Admiral/Fleet Captain cards are then applied, effectively making the Captain Skill Number an 11 or more.
- Salatrel's absolute Captain Skill Number is considered to be 10, with no modification possible.
Additions to Captain Skill are applied before any game text changes the Captain’s skill to a different number.
Example: Salatrel is on the same ship as Admiral Kirk. Salatrel has a Captain skill of 7 (a printed 5 +2 from Admiral Kirk). If her game text is activated it would override her current skill and set it to 10.
Example: Ship A has both Khan Singh (Promo) and Admiral Kirk deployed to it and is facing Ship B with another Khan Singh (Promo). Ship A’s Khan has a skill of 8 (6 printed and +2 From Admiral Kirk). Ship B’s Khan has a lower skill number than Ship A’s Khan and so has a Captain Skill of 8 as well. Ship A’s Khan may not copy Ship B’s Khan’s Captain Level because they are equal.
Khan Singh
You do not pay a Faction penalty when assigning Khan or any Talent Upgrade to your ship. If any Captain in play has a higher Skill Number than Khan, Khan’s Skill Number equals that Captains Skill Number.
