Does squad leader work the same way as Admriral Borg Queen, since their texts are nearly identical?

2.When the Wave 8 Admiral Borg Queen uses her fleet Action, she targets another ship. That ship then uses an Upgrade as a free Action. The Action being used as a free Action must pay the cost stated on the card. And no ship may perform the same Action twice (Pg12 of the Manual) in a single round,

Squad Leader:
"Action: Target a friendly ship at Range 1-2 and perform the action listed on its captain card as a free action (if possible)."

Borg Queen:
"Action: Target a friendly ship at Range 1-2. Choose 1 Upgrade on that ship and perform that Upgrade's Action as a free Action this round. If that Action requires spending Drone Tokens, spend 1 less Drone Token than required."

Yes, these cards work similarly, but they do not have the same cost requirements (spending of drones). When you do the action on Squad Leader you target a friendly ship and that ship may perform an ACTION listed on it’s Captain card as a free action.

When you use Squad Leader to target a friendly ship does the Captain Card have to have text that starts out "ACTION:"? Or, is it possible to utilize other types of text, such as Nu'Daq whose text reads "When attacking, you may convert 1 [Battle Stations] resut into 1 [Hit] result."

When you use Squad Leader to target a friendly ship does the Captain Card have to have text that starts out "ACTION:"? Or, is it possible to utilize other types of text, such as Nu'Daq whose text reads "When attacking, you may convert 1 [Battle Stations] resut into 1 [Hit] result."

When you use the action on the Squad Leader upgrade, you may target a friendly ship's Captain and that Captain may do an action listed on their card for free.

Nu'Daq's card text is not an action and would not be affected by Squad Leader.
