"Each time you suffer damage from an attack, you may place an auxiliary power token beside your ship to reduce the amount of damage from that attack by 1."


1. Since this does not mention combat phase, does this ability work against cloaked mines?

2. Do I get to choose which damage point to reduce? I.E. I am about to take two damage, one hit and one critical. Can I choose the reduce the critical and take the hit?

1. Yes, any ability that does not mention only working during the combat phase would work against attacks that take place outside of the combat phase
