Do Attack Squadrons/Fighters qualify as ships in regards to creating a Static Warp Shell or using the Critical Hit Tokens per the Time Chart?

In this scenario, Attack Squadrons count as ships in regards to all the rules of the scenario.

Q Continuum - Month 3

"When a ship executes a maneuver in which either the Maneuver Template or the ship’s base physically overlaps the Anomaly (i.e. overlapping the Objective Token or within the appropriate
Range of the Objective Token), that ship may forego its Perform Action step to create a Static
Warp Shell. If it does not, that ship suffers 1 damage."

Does this mean you cannot take free actions, or do you just have to skip the regular action.

Also, can you use the special ability of the time chart if your ship is not in the anomaly?

STATIC WARP SHELL
When a ship executes a maneuver in which either the Maneuver Template or the ship’s base physically overlaps the Anomaly (i.e. overlapping the Objective Token or within the appropriate Range of the Objective Token), that ship may forego its Perform Action step to create a Static Warp Shell. If it does not, that ship suffers 1 damage.

If a ship loses its Perform Action step due to overlapping another ship's base, will that ship be able to create a Static Warp Shell or will it have to suffer 1 damage?

1) Can a ship still forgo the perform action step in order to create the static warp shell if it has an auxiliary token next to it?

2) Is there a maximum number of mission tokens which can be taken in this scenario? The set up does not appear to mention a number of tokens to set aside.

In this scenario, when in the anomaly you may not perform any ACTIONs if you skip the Perform Action step. This includes your normal action and any free actions.

Yes, all ships may use the special ability on the time chart.

If a ship overlaps another ship's base it skips it Perform Action step and would not be able to forego it to create a Static Warp Shell.

Can the Wave 0 U.S.S Enterprise still forgo it's action if in auxiliary?

The USS Enterprise can perform an Action listed on its Action Bar while it has an Auxiliary Power token.
