SD 028b Goliath

DAMAGE CONTROL: HOLDING UP THE WALLS: POWER: Remove all debris markers from all unoccupied squares within 3 squares, then generate a blocking terrain marker into each square that had a debris marker removed and has no other markers.


When using this effect, if some of the debris markers removed were there because of destroying printed blocking terrain, when generating the blocking terrain markers, would I be able to generate them into the squares that the map shows were printed blocking terrain?

Yes. When a debris marker is removed from a square of printed blocking terrain that was destroyed, the printed blocking terrain is still considered destroyed. The square would be considered clear (note that this will be clarified in a future update of the comprehensive rules). Since the squares would be clear, Goliath's effect would allow him to generate the blocking terrain markers in those squares that were once printed blocking terrain (assuming there are no other markers in those squares).
