FORM THE NEW FANTASTIC FOUR: At the beginning of the game, you may replace up to 4 friendly characters with the same number of characters from your sideline on their starting clicks. All replacement and replaced characters must have the Fantastic Four keyword and different names. the total points of the replacement characters can't exceed the total points of the replaced characters.


049 The Thing
BUZZ AND CHUCK: At the beginning of the game, generate a Buzz and a Chuck bystander. If your force is a Fantastic Four themed team, those bystanders have [Autonomous symbol] this game. // The Thing can't attack unless Buzz and/or Chuck was KO'd.


I have 002 Invisible Woman and 017 Mr. Fantastic on my starting force and 049 The Thing in my sideline.

At the beginning of the game, I use 002 Invisible Woman’s Form the New Fantastic Four to replace 017 Mr. Fantastic with 049 The Thing. Would I then be able to use 049 The Thing’s trait to generate Buzz and Chuck bystanders?

No. When the "beginning of game" trigger occurs, all applicable effects in play all trigger and then resolve in the order of the active player's choosing. The Thing's effect was not in play when the "beginning of game" trigger was checked, so his effect will not trigger or resolve.
