If Lord Doom gained Mastermind from equipment or another effect and chose an adjacent friendly character to become the hit target of the attack, would the attacker still modify damage -1? Would Doom be considered a missed target of the attack?
DOOM LAUGHS AT YOUR FEEBLE ATTACKS! Invulnerability. Opposing characters attacking Lord Doom modify attack and damage -1.
Mastermind says:
When this character would be hit by an opponent’s attack that deals damage, you may choose an adjacent friendly character that wouldn’t be hit by this attack and that is less points or shares a keyword. That friendly character instead becomes a hit target of the attack, even if it’s already a target (or would be an illegal target)
