Spidey's Last Stand & Storm:Weather Witch Global Ability

Hi there,
my wife and i are just stuck in a match, she wants to use her Basic Action Die from Spidey's Last Stand: Sacrifice a character to draw and roll 2 dice (sacrificed characters are placed in the Used Pile).
Since that Action Card is from the newest Set i wonder how SACRIFICE is defined, is it a special form of TARGETTING A CHARACTER or something complete different?
She argues that since there is no TARGETTED character the "Global Ability: Pay (Mask).Change the target of an action die that targets a character die to the character die of your choice" won't work.
I think i will loose...again...

A player may not avoid paying a cost by attempting to redirect the cost. See viewtopic.php?f=10&t=8509&p=19362 In your situation, your wife cannot use Storm's Global Ability--or any other redirect ability--to change which character die is sacrificed to pay the cost associated with Spidey's Last Stand.
