translation problem with Black Widow

Hello,

Black WIdow Stinger say :
Aftershock: Deal 1 damage to target character die or player

The french card say (translate into english):
Aftershock: Deal 1 damage to an opponent taget character or player

When Stinger is KO, can i target my Hulk( green goliath) to trigger his capacity ?

We have a french community here, so i don't know what to do.

Generally we refer to the english version, thinking that there may have been a translation error.

Black Widow: Stinger should be able to target either player's character dice, and when in doubt, the English text of cards should be used.
